  1. ~* How To Play *

  3. ~Chuck-A-Luck is a Las Vegas style betting game played with dice.  You bet on  
  4.  the roll of three dice in hopes of making a bundle... but beware, the House 
  5.  _does_ have the advantage.                              
  6.  
  7. ~If you are playing for the first time or went bankrupted last time, the House 
  8.  will advance you a $500 line of credit.  Of course the  House never forgets   
  9.  how much you owe so try not to lose it too fast.          
  10.  
  11. ~You start out by placing your bets on what you hope will be the outcome       
  12.  of the roll.  After the dice are rolled the computer will check to see        
  13.  if there are any winners and if so will pay off with the posted odds.         
  14.  The House collects the money on the non-winning bets.

  19. ~* Movement Keys *

  21. ~Below is a description of available keys and what they do:
  22.  
  23. ~'2/4/6/8' = Move Cursor To Place Bet.
  24.  'B' = Place Bet.
  25.  Space Bar Rolles the dice.
  26.  'H' = Display this help file.
  27.  'D' = Quit Game.
  28.  'R' = Redraw Screen. In case of line noise.
  29.  'C' = Clear All Bets from the board.

  32. ~* Scoring *
  33.    
  34. ~The payoff varies depending on the odds of the dice coming up with that       
  35.  combination.  If you bet $1 on a specific 3 of a kind you will recieve back   
  36.  $150. If you bet the same $1 on any 3 of a kind you will receive back $30.    
  37.  If you bet on the total of the dice rolled (4 to 17) you will receive between 
  38.  50 and 6 to 1 odds.  Odd/Even and High/Low pay even money, but note that if a 
  39.  3 of a kind is rolled then any bets placed on Odd/Even and High/Low           
  40.  automatically lose.

  43. ~* Placing Bet *

  45. ~You place your bet by using your Key Pad keys (with the Num Lock on) keys to  
  46.  move to the posistion you want to place a bet on.  Then select [B] for Bet and
  47.  enter the amount in the box.  Hit return to confirm the bet. If you want to 
  48.  change or clear the bet before the dice are rolled you can highlight it again 
  49.  and enter 0 to clear it or a different amount to overwrite the amount.  If you
  50.  want to keep the same bets on each roll you can just keep hitting the space bar
  51.  to roll the dice until you run out of turns or money.

  53. ~Once you have placed all the bets you want, hit the spacebar to roll the dice.
  54.  The House will roll the dice and check for winners to pay off and collect the 
  55.  rest.  The max you can bet is $9999 or up  to the max of your credit.   The 
  56.  House gets nervous with large bets.
